Update on Methods

For the past five years, I have been an exclusive AI donor. I wanted to share a brief update because my thinking on this has evolved somewhat.

Following an event in my personal life in which a broken condom resulted in an unintended pregnancy under circumstances where, based on my extensive experience, the probability of success through AI would have been quite low, I am reconsidering my assumptions about the relative probabilities of success across methods. While AI remains the method I believe is best for most situations, the experience has made me somewhat more open to the possibility that NI may occasionally make sense in selective cases, particularly where repeated AI attempts have not been successful.

Going forward, I may consider NI in limited cases if a recipient proactively raises the subject. I will not suggest or encourage it myself, and I would remain selective and cautious in considering such requests.

AI will remain my standard and strongly preferred method.
